While this board is still active and does get quite a few visits per day we are not currently promoting the board.

The extreme amount of spam, automated and manual became too much to handle.

We still monitor the site, but replies to queries will not be as quick as in the past.

We are currently considering whether to invest in a better forum with more anti-spam features, mods etc or explore other avenues.

Thank you

Somkiat

» Board Upgrade «

We are considering whether to upgrade the forums we are currently using.

Over the next few weeks we will be testing a few different systems for their suitability.

Please let me know if you encounter any problems.

» Announcement - 15 August 2003 - PLEASE READ «

We have made some changes to SuiteAsia.com

The most obvious change is the new advertising that can be seen at the top of each page. Every page will carry different ads which lead to some very interesting sites.

We hope you find these advertisements useful.

We have also launched a new ad campaign online to try and attract new members, we hope it is better than previous campaign results but wanted to reassure our current members that increasing the 'active' members is still very much a priority.

Please post any feedback in the Suggestions and Comments Forum.

Thank you

» New Ad Campaigns Launched - Please Read «

I wanted to let you know that we recently started a new online advertising campaign to combat the lull in traffic that most none news sites are having currently. This lull has been caused by the constant and global attention given to the war in Iraq.

We also have a print campaign slated to start once the war in Iraq finishes.

Thank you for your understanding.

» Topics - Please Read «

I have noticed that at times it can be difficult to see any difference between the Play and Travel sections.

Please do try to keep the Travel sections on topic.

If you feel that what you have to say is not really related to the thread title (or that it should perhaps not be in that section) then please start a new thread in the most relevant section (Play, Travel etc.)

I do not think this is a lot to ask, but it will help lurkers and new members to find the information they are looking for.

Thank you

» The Messenger - PLEASE READ «

I would like to remind members that the private messenger service is to be used as you like, however we do not want travel advice to be given or sold using it.

This is a travel forum and not an email service. The benefit of posting questions or topics on the board is that others can participate, in the discussion.

I would not like to see the removal of the messenger service caused by a few members.

If people ask for advice or try to sell something, then ask them to post to the board.

Thank you

» SPAM - IS NOT ACCEPTED «

We seem to be receiving more and more people who deem that spamming is an appropriate way to pormote  their services, websites or whatever.

While you may feel that way, SPAM on this site is not allowed. If you would like to have a link to your website or a textual advertisement that describes your product and services then, we will be happy to accommodate you........at a price.

We will create a new forum for such advertisements.

If you do not feel like paying for the promotion and you add a link promoting a service then that topic will be deleted, and you will be banned. If it continues your IP will be sent with a complaint to your ISP.

SPAM is not allowed.

If you would like to discuss this then email me : somkiat@suiteasia.com

Thank you

Somkiat

NOTE : If a regular member with over a 100 posts wishes to advertise something (other than a travel site, forum or service) then they may do so freely.

» PLEASE READ - Messenger «

We have had to temporarily disable the messenger system. This is only temporary while we upgrade some of the internal workings of the messenger. We do apologise for this inconvenience.

We expect the messenger will be live again within a few days.

Thank you for your understanding,
